Peninsular Village

3 Buildings for my penisular village, made from Italeri-1/72 Kits. Sizewise, they fit 28mm Minis quite well.

In the pipeline are a 90x90cm Board, some trees, a wheat field,a few cows, 6 95th Riflemen, 10 Voltieurs and some Perry Civilians. The Rules used will be the "Song of Drums and Shakos" from Ganesha Games.

Treasure Island

Captain van de Slampens ship, "de gouden Leuve" lying at the dock of the treasure island, somewhere in the caribbean...

The board is made from 4 tiles, each 60x60cm totaling in 120x120 cm (or 4x4). basic material is 2cm styrofoam, covered with pva and some sand. Painted with cheap acrylic paint. The water effect is cheap bath-silicone from the craft store over blue paint.

Every treasure island needs its own skull rock...

Skeletons

This is my skeleton warband for the "song of Blades and Heroes" rules (which imho are the best rules to play skirmish with I know. They are really simple yet tactical and can be used for a million diffrent settings. I plan pn using them for FIW and some Samurai skirmishes)

The Skeletons were "painted" in about 2 hours start to finish, using nothing but a white spray undercoat with some washes of devlan mud (GW). This makes for a perfekt bone colour! All the detail was painted before the wash and highlighted with the basic coulour after applying the wash. I've gone for a nordish feeling with the viking-style shields.

The world smallest cavalry-base ;-)

WAB on a budget

My short venture in mass skirmish games! After seeing a beautifully painted Late Roman Army in 28mm on the Sweetwater, i felt the urge to paint some Romans too. But Lack of money and patience did stop me from ordering some Foundry or Gripping Beast. Instead, I bought some 20mm plastic minis from HaT and started to convert using green stuff...
Those two are using the same basic model and were armored to show the higher status of a Leader and his standard bearer.

Unluckily, the handpaintedflag looks more like a Guinee pig then a bear, but what the heck ;-)

This is a Unit of 15 unarmored spearmen with full command. They are all converted: I cut off the soft-plastic spears and replaced them with plastic rod and new sculpts of the right hands.

After painting these I dismissed this project because I cannot paint more then 15 minis of the same pose/uniform/shield...

2 Blue Moon Feds I painted a while ago. Blue moon Minis are not as bad as their online-shop makes you think. Actually, they are very characterfull sculpts. BM should get rid of their studiopainter ;-)

Darkest Africa

The Leader of the expedition is still missing, dont't know if he'll be a German Navy Captain or just some Explorer guy...

GreatWar German Test

This mini was just a test of the new GW washes.

First the base colour was painted then the wash (devlan mud and blabla black) was applied. After this, the base colour was used to highlight. All in all, brushwork took 40 min and I'm quite pleased with th look!

Now on to some squads...
